The Mint of Poland has struck a detailed ‘Memory of Azov’ egg-shaped legal tender coin as part of the timeless Imperial Faberge Arts series. Presented in a richly decorated display case the coin has a low mintage of only 499. The ‘Memory of Azov’ was made in 1871 by the Russian jeweller Fabergé for the Tsar as an Easter gift for his wife. Inside the egg was a "surprise" miniature replica of the Imperial Russian Navy cruiser Pamiat Azova. This minature commemorated the voyage made by Tsarevitch Nicholas and Grand Duke George of Russia aboard the Pamiat Azova to the Far East in 1890.
