Refund policy
All orders are subject to FORTYMILLION return policy, At FORTYMILLION we abide by The Trade Practices Act 1974 (the Act) of Australia.
FORTYMILLION has a 14 day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
Bullion is dealt with separately at the bottom of his return/refund policy. Bullion sales are generally final as the products are "investment-grade" precious metals.
SHIPPING INSURANCE -If you elect not to insure we are not liable and you assume the risk.
Please contact us if you require shipping insurance. If you elect not to obtain shipping insurance we will not cover the loss or damage of your items.
By declining shipping insurance, the Client acknowledges and agrees that Atje Hjort (the business owner) and FORTYMILLION (the business) is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage of the parcel once it has been delivered to the carrier. The Client voluntarily assumes all risks associated with shipping uninsured items and agrees to waive any claims against Atje Hjort and FORTYMILLION for damage or loss, including those resulting from negligence.
Purchasers of insured goods are entitled to reimbursement under any of the following
- Loss of goods in transit as determined by the third party delivery company
- Damage incurred to the goods whilst in transit of the third party delivery company. Third Party Delivery Companies we may use are: AUSTRALIA POST / DHL EXPRESS / FEDEX / TEAM GLOBAL.EXPRESS
- The original shipping packaging must be retained. Shipping companies often require specific photographs of the shipping box.
Shipments to destinations classified by the insurer as “high-risk“, generally due to experiencing active war or conflict, or currently under sanction (e.g., Afghanistan, Ukraine), at the time of insurance purchase, are not eligible for insurance coverage. In such cases, the customer may proceed with the shipment at their own risk, redirect the shipment to an eligible destination, or request a full refund of the insurance premium. The definition of a high-risk or excluded destination is determined solely by the insurance provider and is subject to change without notice. For reference, high-risk or excluded destinations are aligned with those classified as ‘Do Not Travel’ by the Australian Government due to war, conflict, or sanctions. Please contact us if you are unsure whether your destination is covered,.
RETURNS ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
If a product or service you buy fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you have the right to ask for a repair, replacement or refund under Australian Consumer Law.

- The original shipping packaging must be retained We will need to be able assess if the product and shipping box was damaged in transit. Shipping companies often require specific photographs of the shipping box. You may also find it useful to use this same shipping box and it's void material in order to return the product if we require a return.
- the product must be in its original packaging
- you have taken reasonable care with the product while it is in your possession.
- Items purchased that included an additional bonus gift must return both the original item and the bonus gift
- Items purchased with a Voucher or Coupon gifted by FORTYMILLION will not be refunded the value of the Voucher or Coupon. It is at the discretion of FORTYMILLION as to whether Vouchers or Coupons are reissued.
- Items purchased with a pre purchased or privately purchased GIFT CERTIFICATE will receive a replacement GIFT CERTIFICATE to the value used if a refund is granted.
The remedy you're entitled to will depend on whether the issue is major or minor and are made on a case by case basis. For example, damaged cardboard outer boxes for cased coins can be remedied by replacing the box itself so would not necessarily require a return unless a replacement could not be given. If FORTYMILLIONn has sent you the wrong product we may send you a return label and replace the item at no cost to you, however you must follow our instructions. Alternatively we may reimburse your return postage costs but this will be contingent on following our return and packaging instructions.
Consumer guarantees do not apply if you:
- simply changed your mind
- found the product cheaper somewhere else
- decided you did not like the product
- had no use for your product
- misused a product in any way that damaged it
- Were made aware of any faults in the product through the website listing or by communication with FORTYMILLION before you bought the product.
- asked for a service to be done in a certain way against the advice of FORTYMILLION
- were unclear about what product you wanted and went ahead with payment for the product.
- failed to accept delivery or collect your package from a Mail Service or Post Office or other Delivery Service or Depot.

If your return is accepted and we are at fault, we may send you a return shipping label or reimburse your postage costs as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Refusal to pay customs fees and taxes requested by your country voids this return policy.

If we have not responded to your return request within 14 days be aware that we may be on our annual holiday. Email will be automated with a response.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like special orders, pre-orders and sale items unless we are at fault or consent to a return. Please be aware that shipping estimates on pre-order items are estimates only. Considerable delays can be caused by pandemics, and wars for example. Minting delays and overseas suppliers can also be causative of delay of getting an item to you. If you do not wish to take these risks, do not enter into a pre-order or special order. Delays can sometimes pan out from 6 months to a year for example Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items (unless we are at fault) or gift cards/certificates.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.. Payments made through PayPal or Credit Cards cannot be fully refunded due to the fees retained by the provider on the transaction. Refunds will be less the fees at our discretion. There is a Restocking fee for 25% of the cost of the item for returns when we are not at fault.
Other Refunds
A restocking May be applicable for any other refund we may provide. The restocking fee is 6% of the total price charged. Any points used or redeemable vouchers used to fulfill the purchase, will be forfeited.
We at FORTMILLION can also cancel orders for the following reasons:
- Errors in sales listings, coupon errors etc.
- Loss of stock in transit / non-supply
- Attempted Scalping
- Suspected deceitful/fraudulent activity
BULLION
Generally, consumer law does not provide a cooling-off period for bullion purchases, which are treated as speculative investments rather than standard retail goods. Bullion transactions are treated differently than standard retail purchases due to the high volatility of precious metals. The sale is usually final. No returns or refunds are accepted once the order is confirmed and paid for. We reserve the right to refuse a refund.
Please also be aware cancellations can incur additionally to financial losses approximately the fees we incur through the platform and Card Payment Providers, PayPal or any other Payment method you use. These are the fees other parties retain from your purchase.
Orders cannot be cancelled for a full refund if the order is Bullion.
If goods have been sent, change of mind refunds won't be accepted if the order is Bullion.
