Collectable Coins of Congo

◆ The Republic of Congo's collectable coinage offers a striking meeting of fine silver and sculptural design. Its modern commemorative issues extend beyond national borders in their choice of subjects, bringing internationally celebrated landmarks into richly detailed relief. Architectural forms offer particular scope for the engraver's skill, translating structural precision, sweeping outlines and intricate ornament into silver made to be examined from every angle.

◆ Selected editions combine .999 fine silver with shaped silhouettes, high relief, selective gilding and enamel. The contrast of silver, gold and colour gives these compositions depth, while limited production adds a further consideration to an acquisition chosen first for its design and execution. Choose a Republic of Congo issue at FORTYMILLION for its distinctive treatment of precious metal and the craftsmanship that makes the individual coin stand apart.
