Superbly coloured Kookaburra silver coins from The Perth Mint are synonymous with World Money Fair. As our ‘show special’ for this major annual event, it has sold out in each of the previous five years.
The coin portrays a coloured representation of the famous bush bird in flight over a gorge with a snake in its talons. Included in the design is a privy mark depicting a green AMPELMANN™, a Berlin cult brand featuring traffic light men designed in East Germany during the 1960s. Also included in the design is a ‘P125’ mintmark signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.
This coin portrays the official ‘Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse’, featuring the Jody Clark effigy supplemented with the dates of Her Majesty’s reign – ‘1952 – 2022’.
The coin is housed in a special World Money Fair presentation card displaying the show logo and dates. The presentation card also features a fold-out stand for upright display.
