The Coin’s reverse depicts the iconic Sydney Opera House, as viewed from the west, along with the 50th anniversary Sydney Opera House logo, celebratory confetti and stylised rippled water of Sydney’s harbor.
The world heritage-listed building designed by Danish architecht Jorn Utzon and completed by Peter Hall in 1955 has created waves of excitement since it was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in October 1973.
This unique and highly collectable coin celebrates this anniversary which will coincide with 50 consecutive days of celebrations being held in Sydney and across the world during October 2023.
