Samoa 2026 $1 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA 15 gm .999 Silver & Copper

Putting a unique spin on one of the world’s true literary classics, we are proud to announce the launch of the 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA  Silver & Copper Bimetal Antique Coin!

Issued in tiny numbers, with a mere 400 struck, the 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA dynamic legal tender coin pays homage to Jules Verne’s pioneering science fiction novel, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas. First published as a book in 1870, this iconic maritime tale details the adventures of Professor Pierre Aronnax, his servant Conseil and seaman Ned Land as they travel the world’s oceans after being captured by Captain Nemo and taken aboard his futuristic submarine, Nautilus. Having many features that accurately anticipated those of the modern submarine, Nautilus was described by Verne as 'a masterpiece containing masterpieces' – a description that could easily be applied to this sensational new coin!

Uniting 15 grams of 99.9% pure silver with a massive 340 grams of copper, and spanning an enormous 75mm in diameter, this stunning new release is a masterwork of innovation. Rotate the copper base, and enjoy the wonders of the seven seas from the window of Nautilus in glorious full-colour!

Based on designs from Verne’s sci-fi classic, the dazzling full-colour motifs are complemented by the razor-sharp High Relief strike of the silver reverse. Depicting Captain Nemo at the helm of Nautilus, the reverse also features a special Jules Verne ‘JV’ monogram! Official Samoan legal tender, the unique Jules Verne commemorative obverse carries Daniel Thorne’s portrait of King Charles III.

A maritime masterpiece, this spellbinding tribute is to be enjoyed by a select band of collectors. Ensuring a sell-out, the mintage of 2026 $1 20,000 LEAGUES has been set at just 400! With so few coins struck, and its predecessor – the Cosmic Encounters 2025 $1 Rotating Bimetal Coin – sold out at speed!
